FINALLY a good deal =]

Hello all! I have been wanting to blog lately but the deals have been so lame down here in Miami. I feel like we're so stocked up on a lot of stuff already. One benefit of this is that I get to focus on getting deals to share with others. And I have to say I LOVE to give to others :)

A bit of good news for those of you who know me; I passed the first portion of my Teacher Certification Exam! Just two more years and I'll be putting my couponing efforts into building up a wonderful stock for my own classroom!

Like I said, the deals, in my opinion, have been pretty lame. I've actually been gathering a few good deals together for a week just waiting until I had enough to make a decent trip to Target. I finally accomplished this this week and made an awesome trip. Here it goes!! These deals are either ending this Saturday, or are on regular price anyways.

1 Bowl Appetit Pasta $1.55 [For lunch!]

4 Hefty One Zip Bags $2.04 each [Regular Price]
- (4) $1/1 Target Coupon HERE
- (2) $1/2 Manufacturer from 7/10 RP
= $.54 each

8 Benadryl Itch Sticks $2.29 [Regular Price]
- (8) $2/1 Manufacturer from 6/19 RP
= $.29 each.
Here I figured it would be fun to see how many I could get for the price of one =]

2 Paper-mate Ballpoint Pens $1.02 [In school supply section]
- (2) $1/1 Target coupon HERE
= $.02 each.
Since I'm studying to be a teacher, I've been stocking up on school supplies to give to students in need.

4 Scotch Tape $1 [School supply section]
- (4) $1/1 Manufacturer HERE
= FREE

4 Cottonelle Freshmates $2.29 [Regular Price
- (2) $1.25/2 Target coupon HERE
- (2) $1/1 Manufacturer HERE
- (1) $1/2 Manufacturer HERE
These were on sale last week but I didn't make a trip lol.
= $.92 each.

2 John Frieda Shampoo/Conditioner $5.99
- (2) $5/1 Manufacturer from 6/5 SS
- (1) $3/2 Target Coupon HERE
= $1.02 OVERAGE

2 John Frieda Style Products [1 @ $5.99, 1 @ $8.99]
- (2) $5/1 Manufacturer from 6/5 SS
- (1) $3/2 Target Coupon HERE
= $.99 each

And the Grand Total?
$15.11 including $2.57 in tax

Total Saved:
$57.65

While I love to rejoice in such a great amount of savings, I was bummed out [AGAIN] at the cashier's attitude towards my coupons. At my Target it seems like they really aren't afraid of sighing loudly and complaining to the customer that they wish they "Didn't have to work this register" because of all the coupons they had to deal with. I also got the whole "OH You're one of THOSE from that SHOW on TLC." I made it clear to her that no, I wasn't, and that I was simply a young woman trying to save some money in a way that follows the rules and doesn't overwhelm cashier's.

Oh well. I got my deals and I was sure to give her a smile the whole time! Hopefully one of these days all the cashiers will not only understand why and how we save so much, but also how to do it for their own families :)

Toilet Paper Deal.

What you see here... is my new favorite toilet paper.

=]

Lately, this toilet paper has been a special deal at Target. It comes around about every 4 weeks or so, so I finally took advantage of it. Now the deal isn't going on right now, but my Target coupons for it are about to expire so I plan on buying it anyways at the higher price.

This is how it is..
The deal is where each package is $9.99. When you buy 2 you get a $5 Gift card. That already makes the deal really nice, but then add coupons!

Here is the deal as posted by Totally Target. This is completely from her blog, not mine!! So the credit goes to her, I'm just sharing it with you guys. Basically, the packages of toilet paper (like those above) have coupon booklets inside of them. These coupon booklets include $2/1 Charmin Sensitive as well as $1/1 Charmin Freshmates. Using this, you can roll the deal over and over again. And I gotta say, the toilet paper is really nice!

Transaction 1:
Buy (2) Charmin 18 pack ($9.99) & 2 Freshmates ($2.49) = $24.96
-$5.00 (use two -$2.50 off wyb Charmin 6 pk+ AND Freshmates TQ 4-10-11 RP x6/30
-$4.00 (use two -$2/1 Charmin Sensitive Found inside Charmin Sensitive)
-$2.00 (use two $1/1 Charmin Freshmates found inside Charmin Sensitive)
= $13.96 - $5 Gift Card Back wyb 2
= $8.96 for two 18 packs & 2 Freshmates.
Or like paying .24 cents per roll plus 2 free Freshmates.

Back in the habit

Wow.
I cannot believe it has been almost a month since I posted. I feel terrible. I feel like I let people down lol. But now that I am officially finished with my classes until the end of August, I'm already getting back into the loop! I have a couple of deals to share with you guys for now, and a couple more I plan to take advantage of next week.

Sorry for falling behind but I do want to ask any of you who actually follow my blog to please share the blog with friends, families, coworkers or whoever else may need some help with saving money. I like to think that my blog is a sort of laid back way of teaching the basics... Thanks for your support.

Walgreens:
What happened here is this... I spent a lot of money lol. Usually I love to roll my rewards, pay pretty much just tax, and have rewards for the next week. Well in this case, I waited until my rewards were about to expire and I needed to use them, but the deals were so lame and not really anything I needed. So I decided this.. I'll splurge a bit. In the end, I payed about $15 for $50 of stuff. Sure its pretty nice but I only got $13 rewards back even though I started with $19. On the bright side, its like I got more stuff this week and free money for next week. I could have used my $19 rewards and gotten nothing back, or, like I did, spent about $15, got $50 of stuff, and have more for next week. That's the beauty of couponing.

Transaction 1:
4 Tresemme 4/$15 get $5 RR
This was my major splurge. I have so much shampoo already... but I've always wanted to try tresemme. It's my first time and they look so professional and expensive... lol. So I went for it.

3 Suave Lotion $3 Each
1 Suave Shampoo $1
Buy $10 worth of Suave and get $3 RR
Again, I don't even use this stuff but I got some rewards and can give the items to family, who will always appreciate it.
Used 3 $1/1 Coupons on Suave.com

1 Arizona Tea .99
Fernando's choice of a filler.

1 Dozen Eggs .99

Carrots for Guinea Pig =] .89

Used $19 RR

Total:
$7.76 OP including tax.

Saved:
$26.76

Transaction 2:
1 Gilette Razor $9.89 get $5 RR
Used $4/1 coupon from 6/5 P&G
My family seems to like these.

Total:
$6.59

Saved:
$7.10

Publix
Then I went to publix for a super amazing deal on Ben & Jerry's icecream
The pints of these things are so expensive. $4.83 for one little pint???
That's why this week's deal got me really happy.. lol
At my local Publix, we had the icecream on sale for $4.83 B1G1 Free.
Okay. Good deal so far.
Well then there was a manufacturer coupon in 6/12 RedPlum for $1/1.
Even better deal.
THEN my store accepts Whole Foods as a competitor. They happen to have $1/1 store coupons for the icream on their website right now.
YAY!

So I did as follows

6 Ben and Jerry's Icecream $4.83 B1G1 Free
-(4) $1/1 Manufacturer (only had 4)
- (6) $1/1 Whole Foods coupon

= $4.49 for ALL.

Wow. Less than the price of one =]

Spent:
$4.49

Saved:
$24.49

Total Spent Today:
$18.84

Total Saved Today:
$58.35

Not too shabby.

The Perfect End to My Birthday Week

Hello my favorite people =]
I had an amazing week.

First of all, it was my birthday on Tuesday =] And I had a wonderful time with my husband. We pretty much celebrated my birthday all week, with a little gift everyday. Monday he gave me something I always appreciate, a gift card to Walgreens =]
You all know how I can multiply that gift card into so much more. Lol it's like making an investment. Well, I did just that. I made a small trip to Walgreens today and was able to use up some of my gift card and have no out of pocket expense. Basically, I was reminded of why procrastination sucks. I usually make my Walgreens trip on Sunday when all the deals are fresh and in stock. Well birthday week got me distracted and I didn't make it to the store until today, so I payed the price. My first and favorite Walgreens was wiped out of everything  I wanted. Go figure. So I went to my old favorite store where I had some trouble using my coupons before since I knew they always have great stock. Fortunately, I got a super friendly cashier and I didn't have many coupons anyways, just Register Rewards that were expiring. So it was simple.

I had an awesome trip and got some great things but it really wasn't much. I've sort of hit that point where I feel like... I don't really need much more. I mean its like.. body wash sale? Already got a ton of that. Toothpaste? Check. Shampoo? Check. Makeup? Check.. Toilet paper and paper towels? Check. Jeez. I have everything. So I pretty much did two things: I splurged, and I got some things to donate and give away to family members. It's an awesome feeling to know I really don't need much more in my stockpile. But deals will come and I'll take advantage of them. However this week was slow so I just got what I could and fortunately have a lot of Register Rewards to use for the next couple of weeks =]

4 Caress Body Wash 4/$12 get $4 RR
- (4) .75/1 Caress 5/22 RedPlum
[This was my splurge. I can usually get body wash free, but I love this stuff! So for me, just above $1 a bottle is my stock up price!]

1 Scunci Hair ties $2 get $2 RR
No coupons
[This stuff is always free after RR. I have like 7 of these now]

1 Tone Body Wash $3.99 get $3 RR
No coupons
[Just got curious about if its any good. Smells good]

1 Pure Silk Shave Cream $1.99 get $1.50
No coupons
[Again, didn't even need this but I had rewards to burn]

8 Tuf Paper Towel Rolls .50 each with in Ad coupon

2 Single Roll toilet paper .50 each with in Ad coupon

2 Viva 6 Rolls $5.99 sale get $4 RR
- (2) $.50/1
Viva coupon mailed from manufacturer when I complimented their product.
One isn't pictured because we gave it away already =]

I used $21 in Register Rewards and got $19.50 back.

Total Spent:
$14.50
But I had a gift card so... FREE

Total Saved:
$60.11

And that's all..
I really just wanted the body wash. Lol. But we already have it set to donate 1 package of the Viva Rolls [6 Pack] and the toilet paper. I must admit, Viva is an expensive brand and it is my absolute favorite but I never imagined getting so stocked up on it that I would actually be giving it away. lol. The beauty of sharing.

I did a second transaction just because I wanted to donate a razor and I wanted to get the RR for myself. So I just bought 1 Proglide Razor $9.89 get $4 RR
I used 1 $4/1 from 5/1 P&G

Total Spent:
$6.59
Payed with Gift Card = FREE!

Total Saved:
$14.66

What I love is how the few things we're donating equal a value of a little over $20. That's about what I would have spent without my giftcards. So its like I was able to pay for donation items and get EVERYTHING else for free.

My Best Target Trip EVER!

Hello everybody...
I am so excited to share a few deals I picked up at Target today. While a few of these deals end today, you can grab others at any time or just pick up the rest at a little bit of a higher price. I just felt like I got so lucky since these items were on sale, and had manufacturer and/or store coupons to match with. Usually my local Target is pretty bad at dealing with couponers but the cashier today was amazing. I'll even call customer service to put in a few good words about her. She knew how to handle my coupons and did so really quickly. So I felt like this was an amazing trip. I did have 2 $10 Gift cards to use from a few weeks ago so in my total I'm only counting what I paid out of pocket. The real total would be higher for you guys but I mean I didn't have to spend $20 since I had the gift cards so there is no reason to count them in my spending. I was thrilled to be able to get some big name items at such an amazing price. Couponing really does open the door to buying items you wouldn't ever have imagined buying before...
Here we go =]

4 Suave Professionals Shampoo/Conditioner
$2.94 and get a $5 gift card when you buy 4
Used 3 FREE ITEM Coupons in the mail from a promotion

- (2) $1.50/ Target coupon HERE

= Overage

1 Revlon Tweezer $3.89
1 Revlon Eyelash Curler $4.99

7 Digiorno Small stuffed crust pizzas $2.52
- (7) $1/1 Manufacturer Coupons 5/1 SS
= $1.52 each.
This is the lowest price I've ever been able to get them at and they are perfect for a really quick lunch.

UPDATE:
Wow, I have no idea how I forgot to mention it, but I also bought 4 bottles of Smart Water, the liter size. They were on sale for $1 and I had $.75 coupons!

Total after Coupons= $26.50
Used 2 $20 Gift Cards

Total Spent
$6.50 including $3.31 tax

Total Saved
= $81.10

Plus I got a $5 gift card back. So it feels like I only spent $1.50 for EVERYTHING

Then I got the following catalinas [printed coupons] at the end of my order:
2 $5/2 Revlon Tools
2 $2/1 Revlon Tools

So I can go back to Target and get 6 more Tools for free =]

Getting back on track... slowly...

Hey everyone!
Its been too long! Lol... Im such a slacker.. I just started a couple of summer classes and had a short vacation in Tampa but now I'm back and better than ever! I just wanted to share one deal with you along with a little spotlight of something I'm pretty happy about...

While deals seem pretty slow lately, I was able to cash in on one this week at Target. Target came out with store coupon in the newspaper awhile back for $2 off of 1 Revlon Beauty tool. Well there are a few different items at that price and even under $2 at Target. So I was able to do the following transaction!

2 Revlon Nail Shapers $2.89 each
2 Revlon Emory Boards $1.44 each
2 Nail Clippers $2.24 each

Used 6 $2/1 Revlon coupons, the location of which I cannot remember!
2 of the coupons adjusted down to the $1.44 automatically.

Total = $2.26

Saved: $12.00!

PLUS the machine printed out three new coupons to use next time! 2 $2/1 Revlon tools along with 1 $5/2 Revlon tools! So I can go in next time and get 4 more items for free! I was just happy to be able to get some nail files since I've been needing them.

I also told you guys recently about the Cottonelle toilet paper deal at Walgreens. Well my hard planning payed off and here is my shopping result!

Pardon the Minions in the background. I had to store these in my room since we are so stocked up! Plus I was able to donate two entire packages of toilet paper. That made me feel really good! I mean toilet paper is usually so hard to find a great deal on that we couponers get sort of stingy when we stock up, but I just felt like we had so much that it would be wrong to keep it all! Plus I payed for all of these with a gift card and received $12 in register rewards for future use!

Spent = $0 [Gift card]
Saved = $40

And received $12 RR back!

While you can no longer get the register reward deal, its still a great price with coupons.
$5 Cottonelle
- (1) $1/1 Walgreens Coupon in May Book
- (1) $.50/1 Manufacturer here
= $3.50 total or $.30 per roll!

Toilet Paper Galore...

I thought I'd share one quick yet AMAZING deal with you guys. When I went to pick up this deal at my favorite Walgreens, I was so worried it would be sold out... Fortunately they had about 8 left, so I picked up two. However, today when I went to a different Walgreens I was SHOCKED at what I saw....

Yea...
That's right... at least 50 Cottonelle toilet paper packages. Lol. This made my jaw drop and encouraged me to pick up some more. So using the following links and coupons, I plan on picking up 8 more this week. Let me explain why..

Personally, I think a normal good price on toilet paper without coupons is about .50 a roll. Add coupons and you can get it in the 40's. Well with this deal you bring the price down to 29 cents a roll. PLUS you get $3 Register Rewards back for every two that you buy. That's like getting it for 17 cents a roll! Or think of it as .29 a roll and then $3 FREE dollars to spend at Walgreens. So here is the deal... PLEASE remember that if you want more than one register reward then you have to break it up into separate transactions. Only one reward prints per deal. So do this:

2 Cottonelle 12 pack Toilet Paper $5
- (1) $1/1 Walgreens coupon May Booklet [ Find this at the front of the store where they keep the weekly Ads]
- (2) $.50/1 Manufacturer Coupon
Here is where you find them:

OR you can visit the Cottonelle Website HERE

Now I'm not sure which links are different, I just know I got a total of 6 coupons off of one laptop and 4 on the other. So just try them all.

This makes the paper towel packages $3.50 each. THEN you receive a $3 Register reward back for buying two. That's like paying $4 for both. I hope you guys take advantage of this deal. I promise this is an amazing price. I've never stocked up this much on TP but at this price, you can't beat it. And for Cottonelle, an awesome brand.
