Walgreens 1/30 Paid $5.12 for everything in all pictures!

I got a lot of stuff today at Walgreens. I had $28 in Register rewards that were going to expire today so I had to use them. But of course, instead of just wasting them on stuff I don't really need, I planned a trip and was able to "roll them". That basically means I used them, but got more rewards in return. Recycling, if you will. =]

I did this transaction at the first Walgreens we went to today:

2 Herbal Essence conditioner $2.99 and Get $1 Register Reward
-Buy 1 get 1 free coupon (P&G from 12/26/10)
[Was able to get the hairspray for free]

4 Dove deodorant 4/$15 and get $5 Register rewards
- 4 $2/1 Coupons from 1/30 RedPlum

3 Ajax @ $3/1 with the in-ad coupon

4 Renuzit Air fresheners @ .79 each
We use these for our guinea pig because he smells really bad really quickly! lol

1 Natrol Melatonin Vitamins $3 and get $3 Register rewards
- $2/1 Coupon from 10/10 Redplum

= $28.14 before coupons

= $15.15 after coupons

Then I paid with 2 of my register rewards [$10, and $3]

= $2.15 after all coupons! (before tax)

THEN I got back register rewards [$5, $1, $3]

Transaction 2:

1 Icyhot Vapol gel $3.99 get $3 Register rewards
-$1/1 coupon from 1/30 Smartsource

1 Natrol Melatonin $3 get $3 register rewards
- $2/1 coupon

1 Arnicare pain relief gel $5.99 get $6 register rewards
- $2/1 coupon from the arnicare website

1 Blink eye drops $7.99 get $8 register rewards
no coupons

1 Breathe right strips $6.99
-1 free item coupon I got last week from walgreens

= $29.96 before coupons

After coupons:

= $17.97

Then I paid with register rewards from a couple weeks ago [ $10, $2.50, $2.50]

=$2.97 before tax!!

Then I got back register rewards [$3, $3, $6, $8]

I used 15 rewards and got back 20 so its sort of like they paid me to shop!

Here is the final product of my shopping

FINALLY! And this one is really easy for ANY of you to do as long as you got today's newspaper

6 Vicks VapoDrops $2/2 [found near the register]
- $1/1 Coupon from 1/30 P&G saver coupon book in sunday paper

Total?

= $0! No tax on medicine =]

So many final tally for the day?

The total for all of this stuff before coupons was :
$64.10
And that is not including the sale prices, so actual savings is really more than this.

What did I pay?
$5.12 before tax!

Thats about 80% savings!

Cvs 1/28

The trip at CVS was really wonderful! I bet a lot of ladies out there would appreciate the savings on this one. One thing I want to remind everyone about is the whole reasoning behind stockpiling. For example, the regular price for one of the Finish dishwasher detergents is about $5.69. The other week at CVS it went on sale for $3. On top of that, there was a $2.25/1 coupon in the newspaper. So now you are only paying $.75 for one box of detergent... So instead of buying the 1 box for $5.69, I would go and buy about 7 boxes of the detergent, for even less than $5.69!! The trick is to stock up when the price is at its best, so you won't need to buy that item again for a LONG time!!

So here we go! I had a raincheck at CVS for the detergent because they were out of it last week when it was on sale.

The deal was this. Buy $20 of Finish products and get $10 Extrabucks to spend next time.

The reason I did so well this week is because I have about $20 Extrabucks to start with from previous sales. So I am able to pay for my groceries with THAT money and get MORE extrabucks back! So when you start couponing you should try and build up a stock of extrabucks.

So I got 4 boxes of Finish @ $3 each
[You need 7 for the deal, but I bought 3 last week]

- 2 $2.25/1 Coupons
-2 $.75/1 Coupons [I ran out of the good coupons!]

Then I got 2 Crest Mouthwash @ $3.99 each
-1 $1/1 Coupon from random coupon page I found around the house!

Before Coupons = $19.98
After Coupons = $12.98

Then I paid with a $10 and $1 Extrabuck

= $1.98 out of pocket, not including tax.

And then I got $10 extrabucks back!!!

The reason why this deal is so amazing is because I paid less than $2 for 4 boxes of detergent and mouthwash when ONE box of the detergent is normally over $5!!!

I took advantage of the deal last week and now I probably have about 14 boxes of detergent. Thats enough to last over a year!!

Great deal today!!

The advertisement for this week at Walgreens was to buy 2 Pantene Products for $7 and get $2 register rewards back. So basically you are paying $5 for 2. However, I had a $3/2 Pantene Products coupon from last months P&G saver. So this makes it $2/2. But to make it even better, they had some Pantene products in the clearance section which where included in the deal! So this is what I did

2 Pantene color conditioners @ $2.49 each
= $4.98
-$3/2 Coupon
= $1.98

And I got back 2 Register rewards to use next time!

Then I repeated this in a second transaction with the 2 shampoo/conditioner combination!

The thing to remember is that you cannot use the 2 Register reward from transaction 1 on the purchase of transaction 2 because it is for the same item and the second reward will not print.

So I spent about $4 and saved over $30 between coupons and sale prices.

Walgreens

One of my favorite shopping trips in a long time!
Walgreens:
Caress Body Wash 4/$12 and Get $4 Register Rewards Back

Usually you can get body wash free, but this is my personal favorite wash and I had some register rewards from last week to spend, so it was a splurge! But still a great price for Caress!

6 Maalox heartburn medicine @ $5.09 and Get $10 Register Rewards when you buy $30 worth.
- 6 : $5/1

1 Got2B hair gel $4.99 Get $2 Register Rewards back
No coupons

3 Breathe Right strips $5.99
Used FREE item coupons I got last week at Walgreens

2 Reynolds Wrap Foil and 1 Wax Paper @ .89

4 Starbucks drinks @ 4/$5
SPLURGE!

Before coupons:

$75.00

After coupons, and register rewards [$20 from last week]

$7.84 including tax

[It was $5 before tax which is amazing considering the 4 Starbucks drinks alone cost $5. So I practically got a lot of stuff for free, plus I got back $16 Register rewards to use next week!!!]

My receipt actually says I saved $90.79!

Seriously, if you're not couponing yet, You're missing out!
